The Schlitz elves! I like to imagine an alternate universe in which this was a seasonal ad campaign for Schlitz back in the 1960s. I looked at a lot of Disney holiday designs when working on this. And yes, the elves may bear some resemblance to Snap, Crackle, and Pop. Childhood cereal advertising has a tendency to burrow its way deep into the brain, after all.
